Zach Hayman and Edmonton Oilors won two consecutive wins. These victories, and others, helped keep Oils at an amazing distance from the golden knights of Vigas in dividing them.
If they were picking Vigas and getting the lead to defend the banner of the Western Conference, they will need to repeat what they did in that victory over New York Islands And New York Rangers.
Hayman referred to two things that led to these victories. The attacker (0:50) said:
“I think first and foremost, incredible goals in both. I think just a great defensive effort, fine, to reduce those teams. If you want to win late this season, you play well defensively, and you have to have good goals, and I think we have both. So, this really helps.”
Stewart Skinner 21 of 22 was saved against Rangers, and Calvin Picard has saved 24 of 25 attempts in the additional victory over the island’s residents.
Hayman added:
“I think an attack will start to find our game. Everyone knows that it can be recorded. It is clear, maybe not this year as in the past years or in expansion or so on, but I think we are confident that we can go there too.”
Zach Hyman is ready to return to the Oils collection
Edmonton Oils won without Zach Hyman’s last time. They were without services from their star forward, but they managed to win 3-1 in any case thanks to the wonderful goalkeeper.
He was out of an unannounced injury, but he will not miss more time. Via NHL, he said:
“Everything is good to go. I don’t really want to enter it a lot, but I feel good.”
Matthias Ikholm, who was outside March 4, is expected to return to ice. He said he feels “much better” now and he is pleased that his team carried him in his absence. He is ready to return now alongside Hyman.
