FanDuel Sports reporter Carlene Bath explained on the broadcast that she checked in with the “Elf” actor. She said Ferrell told her it was a “tough holiday season” and he was hopeful the Kings would pull out a victory.

Kevin Fiala and Warren Voegele also scored for Los Angeles. The Kings trailed 4-2 midway through the second period. Goalkeeper David Rittich made 17 saves.
Ferrell has been seen in the Crypto.com Arena over the years supporting the Kings. He drew his face on a black and white chessboard to support the franchise in Stanley Cup Playoffs.
