Actress Lisa Ray moved to social media to summon Air India, claiming that she showed a shortage of sympathy after the airline refused to request a medical waiver of the 92 -year -old patient. She shared her frustration on X (formerly Twitter), saying that although the doctor’s speech was presented, the waiver was rejected without an appropriate explanation.

Ray wrote: “Here we go again @Airindia. My 92 -year -old father is fine, and I have to travel because of his sick condition.

She responded to the official Air India account, expressing her sympathy and asked her to share more details via a direct message. “Dear Mrs. Ray, we sympathize with your anxiety and we hope your father is a rapid recovery. Please help us in the email address that you wrote to us or the case definition (if any) via DM. We will look at it,” the airline said.

Ray also published a screenshot to exchange it with the travel agency, which deals with the reservation. The response from the agency indicated that there is no ruling on medical waiver in her case, although her father was transferred to the hospital.

Its publication sparked mixed online reactions, with some sympathy for her ordeal, while others indicated that medical concessions may not apply to unworthy tickets. One of the users commented: “Any airline should not give you and a flight company should not give you a concession for any reason if your ticket is not a flexible or changeable ticket.” Others advised to buy flexible tickets or travel insurance for future positions.
