“We deserve more” after the thirteenth Manchester United defeat for the season against Forest

Manchester United coach Robin Amorim believes that his team deserves more than 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest, but he admitted that they were not competent in the attack.

The Red Devils team suffered in its thirteenth defeat for this season with the permission of the effort of former player Anthony Elanga, but they were unfortunate not to take something in the game after approaching a number of opportunities.

Speaking to TNT SPORTS, Amorim was reflected in a frustrating evening of control, which dominated possession and created opportunities but failed to find a penetration.

“We have dominated the game, but we already knew that this team can score goals from nothing. When they scored, we changed the game a little of what they want,” said the Portuguese director.

“We tried with good opportunities, but in the last third, the last pass, it was not the last assistance there. Then if we did not, we cannot score goals.”

Amorim: “We need to be better in the final third.”

It was a familiar story for UNITED this season, according to Amorim, as his team was struggling to turn dominance into goals.

“This season is like this,” said. “We had a lot of shots on the goal, and we pushed the opponent to the last third, but in the last third, we had a lack of quality.

“We need to win the matches, and we deserved more in this game, and this is clear, but this is our mistake, and we need to be better in the last third. We should have won this game, not even drawn, but in the end, we lost three points.”

More counter -attack problems

United’s weakness of anti -attacks was exposed again as Forest benefited from her limited chances.

Amorem added: “We know the team’s personalities, and one of the goals can put them in one case they love. We have to score two goals to win a match, and this is frustrating because it was the beginning of the game. We helped them win three points.”

Despite disappointment, Amurim insists that he sees progress and is still focusing on the upcoming challenges in both the Premier League and the European League.

“I see it in the game. I am not lying to myself; everyone can say what they want to say, but we need to win the matches. We go to the next match. We have the European League, and we have the next match in the Premier League, and that is the focus.”
