In 1969, India proudly launched Rajdhani Express, to become only the second countries in Asia after Japan to operate trains more than 100 km per hour. After more than five decades, the gap in the railway infrastructure between India and China tells a completely different story.
While China has advanced forward with a high -speed high -end railway network built quickly, India still lay the foundation for the first real high -speed corridor. The contrast confirms deeper differences in how to plan the two countries, define priorities and implement development in the context of their political and societal structures.
