Brighton captain Lewis Dunk says his side are “in a difficult situation” after their frustrating draw with Brentford.
The home side had most of the play and had 24 shots on target but were unable to find a way past Mark Flecken or his replacement Haakon Valdimarsson in the Brentford goal.
Julio Enciso set the tone in the opening minutes when he fired a shot off the post after intercepting Fleiken’s pass.

The Brentford goalkeeper then made good saves from two shots from Matt O’Reilly and Kaoru Mitoma before suffering a thigh injury.
Dunk told Prime Video: “We are in a difficult situation and we cannot win.
“There are games where we didn’t do enough and we reduced our intensity. You look at the stats and at the beginning of the season we were outperforming teams. We looked at the stats and the games we won, we ran more, and the games we didn’t win, we ran less.
“We have the best and best players.”
The Bees threatened from time to time, as Yoanni Wessa had a goal ruled out for offside.
Solly Marsh returned as a late substitute after 14 months out due to injury but was unable to score as both teams had to settle for a draw. It’s just the second point Brentford have picked up on the road.
“I’m excited for Solly March,” Dunk added. “A second cruciate ligament, two operations, did he think he would come back at some point?”
Brighton – who are now sixth without a win in the league – now sit 10th in the table while Brentford are two points behind in 11th.
