Heung-Min Son scored directly from a corner kick to win what was a very exciting League Cup tie between Tottenham and Manchester United.

Tottenham took the lead in the 15th minute after a thunderous shot from Pedro Boro was blocked by the United goalkeeper, but Dominic Solanke scored on the rebound.

The second half saw Tottenham double their lead almost immediately, with Dejan Kulusevski scoring in the 46th minute.

Eight minutes later, Dominic Solanke scored a wonderful goal to triple the hosts’ lead and put them in a comfortable position.

However, the game is not over yet. Fraser Forster made two horrific errors in the space of 7 minutes to guide Manchester United back into the tie. The first mistake he made was that Bruno Fernandes intercepted his pass and sent it to Zerzi to make a simple pass.

Minutes later, Diallo took advantage of poor ball clearance to put the ball into the net to make the score 3-2.

However, Spurs captain Heung-Min Son stepped up in the 88th minute to calm some of the home team’s nerves. The South Korean took the corner and scored directly from it, surprising everyone. Despite the objections of the Manchester United goalkeeper, the goal stood.

Watch the goal below:

Tottenham reach the semi-finals for the first time under Ange Postecoglou

Manchester United did not give up and pulled one back again in the 94th minute through Jonny Evans’ brilliant header from a corner kick, but Ruben Amorim’s side ran out of time for another potential comeback.

Tottenham qualify for the first semi-final of the Ange Posekoglou era, and are set to face one of Arsenal, Liverpool or Newcastle United.

Although they are not the best in the Premier League, they have shown promise in the domestic competition and are now one win away from reaching Wembley.
