Indian national cricket team player Washington Sundar was unhappy with the way he came out in the ongoing match against Australia national cricket team. The fifth match of the series between the two teams will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.
India National Cricket Team all-rounder Washington Sundar fought hard for his team with the bat in the ongoing match. With the team losing wickets quickly, the left-hander tried to up the ante and hit some boundaries to take his team to a fighting total on the board.
Washington Sundar looked good with the bat but his stay at the crease was cut short by a controversial dismissal
Washington Sundar looked good with the bat but his stay at the crease was cut short by a controversial dismissal. India national cricket team all-rounder was removed by Australia national cricket team captain Pat Cummins, who initially had no intention of taking DRS.
Pat Cummins bowled a short ball angled down the leg side. Washington Sundar tried to play a pull but missed it. Alex Carey behind the stumps demanded a catch and persuaded the skipper to take a DRS, but the captain initially seemed not to be confident.
The third umpire reviewed the decision, and there was a slight spike when the ball was next to the glove. But TV referee Joel Wilson said there was a gap in the bottom of the glove. Next, he asked for a replay of the side view and then a slow motion replay.
However, he could not get the exact thing and said, “The ball is very close to the glove and I cannot distinguish any gap between the glove and the ball. There is also a rise as the ball came closer to the glove.” The on-field umpire was then ordered to overturn the decision, and Washington Sundar was forced to reverse.
However, Washington Sundar looked very disappointed with the way he was distributed. He was clearly unhappy and walked with his head down.
