Junjo O’Neill Junior was 100/1 winner in the Triumph Hurdu team on Friday and joined Matt Chapman and Paddy Brennan in Episode 20 of Unbridled to speak through the festival championships and presented some of his major national ambitions.
O’Neill Junior has returned to the winning box at the Shallitham Festival for the first time since it landed on the Martin pipeline on the early doors in 2019, with an impressive show on the superior Jagwar on Oliver Grenal and Josh Ghweirio in the Trustatrader plate on Thursday.
O’Neill JR has become regular in the green and golden JP Mcmanus Silk in large occasions, where he participated regularly in the likes of CHAM in the last stages of his career, and he recently developed a partnership with Grand National Hopeful IROKO.
Speaking with Matt and Paddy, O’Neill JR discussed the rapid improved jagwar and how it was not sure whether the son of Karaktar would deal with somewhat sharp rise in the market.
“When he won the first day at Wetherby, I was not really sure to what extent he would have advanced, but he was with every run. (First in) Bangor-on-Dee, then ran well when he was wrong in Autoxter, and it was clear that he was good in Cheltenham, but I still feel he needed to improve a stone to win on Thursday, fortunately, he did so.”
Brennan was keen to accommodate the praise of O’Neill Junior, saying that the education provided by the horse helped him learn enough to deal with the nature of a race at the Shellham Festival.
He said: “If you want to see where this race, for me, was in Wetherby and Bangor. What you learned in those days made it (ready) to Celtinham.”
O’Neill Junior replied: “It was slow, the bird was not good for an obstacle, and I didn’t say it was normal on the fence as well, but it was very careful with obstacles and had taken a little thinking.
“Josh and my first did a really good job because I could not imagine that it was a direct journey at home, Smith’s milk, which he rides every day. He was like a great raw teenager, fortunately, he was mentally escalating with every run, but I was surprised by the extent of his progress.”
Jagwar was sent from the 3/1 favorite of the competition, and for the whole -seeing it was not the most hero in the end, the husband did not prevent the winners ready with nearly three lengths to the trained on the Gavin Cromwell on the line.
With only five rounds at this year’s festival, you will not find many knights with a much better strike than O’Neill Junior, as he doubled his balance for the week on Bonerus – the winner of 100/1 shock from Trimph Hurdu on the Gold Cup.
With everything a little better than expected, Chapman asked what he was going through throughout the competition.
O’Neill Junior said: “We surrounded the first and thought,” I just hope that this thing will do, “and jumped firstly like the old handicapped and said,” Oh, we will be fine. “

“I thought, if we jumped in the last second, they are likely to hurry from us, but I was pleased because it will run a really nice race for the first time.
“They did not speed up us as much as I thought they would do, and I just felt that I was rolling. I thought I was going to last smell, and I thought his flat experience made a big difference. When he went out last time, he knew how to race I think was calculating a lot.”
Chapmann pointed out the fact that any trip to Laille Molins should be a privilege, but getting a call for a victory in the victory, I felt especially the contestant.
“I was very lucky the way I succeeded, and it is clear that Willie was 11 in the race, and he would have used all Irish knights, then there were herds of (Harry) Kobberin and me.

Poniros became the highest winner in the race for the Schellitham Festival, and the success of the Norton’s Coin Cup is in 1990 and the Hipparchus victory in the annual 1954.
Although the Schlentham Festival becomes 2025 a distant memory, attention is now turning to Aintree, where O’Neill JR is scheduled to go to the IROKO partner in Grand Nationalism of Oliver Greenal and Josh Ghweirio.
“He advanced well with every run, I thought his journey in KELSO was really good because the Earth was a little alive for him and the gray Dawning, in his day, is a first -class horse, as I work for the citizen, we are very happy and have a nice weight.
“It is really a competitive renewal; I know that the couple went out but it is still a very strong race. Say, I still do not want to replace it.”
