Ukraine for a limited ceasefire proposal with Russia at the Saudi summit, the officials say

Two Ukrainian officials said on Monday that the Ukrainian delegation is scheduled to meet with the best diplomat in America in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on ending a three -year war with Russia will propose a ceasefire on the Black Sea and long -range missile strikes, in addition to the release of prisoners.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also told them that they were not allowed to speak publicly about a meeting on Tuesday, to Associated Press that the Ukrainian delegation was ready during the talks to sign an agreement with the United States on reaching rare land minerals in Ukraine – a deal that US President Donald Trump defined insurance.

Officials discussed confidence -building measures, without any other details, before the Ukrainian negotiating team met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jeddah.

While Zelinski will not be himself in Saudi talks with US officials, his team will try to repair the damage that was caused when his visit to Washington descended to the controversy of the Oval Office with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Verse.

“What we want to know is, are they interested in entering a kind of peace conversation and general lines of the types of things they could think, while realizing that it was an expensive and bloody war for the Ukrainians. They have suffered greatly and their people have suffered greatly.”

“It is difficult in the aftermath of something like that until it talks about concessions, but this is the only way that this will end and prevents more suffering.”

Determine “to what extent we are really”

He added: “I will not put any conditions on what they have to do or need to do. I think we want to listen to the extent of their willingness to go, then compare that with what the Russians want, and we see to what extent we are really.”

Zelinski said that a team, including his chief of staff Andre Yermak, Foreign Minister Andre Cipha and Defense Secretary Rostam Omrov will participate in the talks on Tuesday.

The official suggested that progress can be made towards intelligence re -sharing with Ukraine during the Saudi talks.
