Two journalists were killed in northern Syria

The Journalists Association said that two journalists working for Kurdish media were killed in the north of the country Syria While covering the fighting between Turkish-backed fighters and Syrian Kurdish militias.

The Turkey-based Dijlet Firat Journalists Association said on Friday that Nazim Dastan and Cihan Bilgin were killed on Thursday when a Turkish drone targeted their car on a road near the Tishreen Dam.

Tishreen Dam, located about 56 miles east of Aleppo, was the scene of clashes between the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces and Turkey-backed opposition forces.

There was no immediate comment from Turkish officials.
