Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the disaster with a solidarity message. “Praying for the safety and welfare of everyone. India is ready to provide all possible help. Myanmar, which is already fighting civil disorders and an extended health care system, has a history of strong earthquakes. In 2016, an earthquake of 6.8 Bagan was hit, killing three and suffering many. On Friday, twin tremors add another layer of crisis to the area.
