Trump’s tariff for China and the European Union and more at a glimpse

US President Donald Trump announced a new set of customs duties on Wednesday, on the pretext that it will allow the United States to be economic prosperity.

The new import taxes, which Trump imposed through the executive order will send economic shock waves all over the world.

But the US president believes that it is necessary to address trading imbalances, protect American jobs and manufacturing.

Here are the basic elements of the plan.

These will enter into force on April 9.

Trump officials say that these countries receive higher fees on American goods, or impose “non -fire” barriers in front of American trade or act in ways that they feel undermined the American economic goals.

The major commercial partners who are subject to these custom tariff prices include:

• European Union: 20 %
• China: 54 % (including previous definitions)
• Vietnam: 46 %
• Thailand: 36 %
• Japan: 24 %
• Cambodia: 49 %
• South Africa: 30 %
• Taiwan: 32 %

The foundation line rate does not apply 10 % to Canada and Mexico, as it was already targeted during the Trump presidency.

The White House said that it will deal with both countries that use a framework on the previous Trump’s executive orders, which imposed a tariff on both countries as part of the administration’s efforts to address the entry of fentanel into American issues and borders.
