Trump’s Cornell University student leaves the United States

A highly studied student at Cornell University, who was canceled in the US visa, has chosen due to protest activities against Israel to leave the United States instead of deporting him.

His students from Momodou Taal, a joint citizen in the United Kingdom and Gambia, were canceled due to his protest activities on the campus last year with the outbreak of the Israel-Gaza war.

Mr. Taal was prosecuting previously to prevent his deportation, but on Monday he published on X that he chose to leave the country “free and with my head high.” It comes after the judge refused his request to delay his deportation.

The Trump administration coordinates international students who have been active in protests against Israel in universities.

Mr. Taal is at least the second international student to choose to leave the United States after he was targeted to remove the US Department of Internal Security. The Trump administration determines these cases as “self -score.”

“Given what we saw throughout the United States, I lost their belief that a positive judgment from the courts will ensure my personal safety and my ability to express my beliefs,” as Mr. Taal published on Monday.

“I lost faith that I can walk in the streets without kidnapping them, and weighing these options. I made the decision to leave on my own conditions.”

Mr. TAAL twice was suspended by Cornell, the Labay League School in New York State, due to protest activities. On the day of Hamas’s attack against Israel in 2023, he published: “Glory to Resistance.”

Foreign Minister Marco Rubio said last week that at least 300 university students had been canceled their student visas due to their involvement in the protests supporting the Palestinians.

Trump officials said that the Immigration and Nationality Law allows the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to deport non -citizens and who “opponents of foreign policy and national security” of the United States.

The arrests are part of Trump’s pledge to combat what the administration has classified as anti -Semitism, which was written in an executive order in January.

Critics have criticized deportation as a violation of freedom of expression.

Another student chose to flee the United States, Indian researcher Rangani Srinifasan CNN wanted to wipe her name.

“I am not a terrorist sympathy,” she told CNN: “I am literally just a random student.”

She added that she hoped to re -accumulate at the University of Colombia, which was the student protest center last year, and to end the doctoral program.
