The US President says that Iran initially wants talks through the mediators, but he believes Tehran changed its position.

Washington, DC Donald Trump suggested that Iran agree to direct talks with the United States despite extensive tensions and threats between the two countries.

Speaking to correspondents on Thursday, the US President seemed optimistic about the possibility of diplomacy to face with Tehran.

“I think it is better to have direct conversations,” he said. “I think it’s going faster, and you understand the other side much better than if you had passed the brokers. They wanted to use mediators. I don’t think that’s right.”

Last month, Trump sent a message to the Iranian leadership calling for negotiations to address the Iranian nuclear program. The US President was also threatening Iran regularly with military strikes.

Tehran to reject The possibility of direct talks with Washington, but he said it was open to indirect diplomacy.

It is not clear whether Iran has already changed its position or whether Trump predicts Tehran’s position.

The US administration was accumulating sanctions against Iran with the aim of complete suffocation oil exports in the country – especially to China.

In 2018, during his first term as president, Trump distributed a multilateral deal that witnessed Iran’s accommodation on its nuclear program in exchange for lifting international sanctions against its economy.

Tehran maintains that he is not looking for a nuclear weapon. Israel, the US highest ally in the region, is widely believed to have an unannounced nuclear arsenal.

Since his return to office in January, Trump has promised to bring “peace” to global conflicts – although he addressed Iran with a mixture of general diplomatic initiatives and warnings.

He said last week: “If they do not hold a deal, there will be a bombing,” he said last week.

Iranian officials have responded to their threats, indicating that if the country is attacked, it will return against American forces and interests in the Middle East.

“The United States must know that when facing Iran, the threats will not achieve anything.” Ali Khayni He said last month, according to the Iranian News Agency, Tasnim.

“The United States and others must know that if they commit any harmful act against the Iranian nation, they will receive a severe blow.”

But it seems that Tehran’s position in the region has weakened the continuous war in Gaza and abroad.

Israel, for example, killed the Supreme Political and Military Command Lebanon is HezbollahIran’s ally once. Iran lost another major partner after armed opposition groups overthrew Syrian President Bashar al -Assad in December last year.

“I think they are worried, I think they are weak, and I don’t want them to feel this way,” Trump said on Thursday.
