Trump is a gambling of everything on the global definitions he wanted for decades

Donald Trump’s policy has turned largely over its decades in the public domain. But the only thing that has been fixed, since the 1980s, is his belief that definitions are an effective way to enhance the American economy.

Now, he pushes his presidency on his right.

At the Rose Garden event at the White House, surrounded by conservative friends, politicians and cabinet secretaries, Trump announced the collection of a new tariff on a wide range of countries – allies, competitors and opponents alike.

In a speech that was an equal celebration in parts and self -regulation, regularly interspersed with applause from the crowd, the President recalled his long -standing support for definitions, as well as his early criticism of free trade agreements such as NAFTA and the World Trade Organization.

The president admitted that he would face a decline in the coming days of “globalization interests” and “special interests”, but he urged the Americans to trust his instincts.

“Never forget, it has been proven that all our opponents about trade over the past thirty years have been completely wrong,” he said.

Now, in a second term, is surrounded by similar consultants in thinking, which is the dominant force in a Republican party that controls both the rooms of Congress, Trump is in a position that allows him to convert his vision of a new trade policy that focuses on America into a reality. He said that these policies have made the United States in a wealthy country for more than a century and will be again.

He said, “For years, American citizens have forced serious to sit on the margin because other countries have become rich and strong, and many of them are at our expense,” he said. “With today’s procedure, we will finally be able to make America great again – greater than ever.”

It is still a tremendous risk to take this president.

Economists warn of all lines that these massive customs duties – 53 % on China, 20 % in the European Union and South Korea, with a 10 % basis line on all countries – will be transferred to American consumers, increase prices and threaten global recession.

Ken Rojov, the former international monetary economist, expected the United States, the world’s largest economy, has increased to 50 % against the background of this declaration.

“It has just dropped a nuclear bomb on the global trading system,” Mr. Rojov said to the BBC global service, adding that the consequences of this level of taxes on imports in the United States are “just a confusing mind.”

Trump’s move is also risked by an escalation of a trade war with other countries and the Tanbrin allies who have tried America otherwise to strengthen relations with them. The United States, for example, Japan and South Korea are like a Chinese expansionist ambitions. But those three countries recently announced that they would work together to respond to American commercial policies.

However, if Trump succeeds, it will mainly reshape the global economic system that America has originally helped build a ashes of World War II. He promised that this would rebuild American manufacturing, create new sources of revenues, and make America more self -reliable and isolated than a type of global supply chain shock that caused the opening of the United States during the emergency group.

It is a long arrangement – many believe it is very unrealistic. But for the president, who appears to be installed to enhance his legacy, whether by ending wars, rename geographical sites, obtaining new lands or dismantling federal programs and working power, this is the largest dependency award.

It will be, similar, “Editing Day” in America.

However, what seems clear is that the Wednesday’s announcement, if continued, is certainly that it is certainly a historical change. The question is whether it will be a legacy of achievement or a notorious reputation.

Trump’s speech was victorious – a line that repeats the possible high costs that his movements will be imposed on the American economy and his political position.

However, he said, it was worth it – even if, at the end of his observations, had reached a small shadow of presidential suspicion to its peak through the courage.

“It will be – hope – you will look back in the coming years and you will say, as you know, it was right.”
