Trump announces nominations for new ambassadors

President-elect Trump Somers nominated Farkas and John Arrigo for ambassadorships.

If confirmed, Arrigo, who serves as vice president of Arrigo Automotive Group in West Palm Beach, Florida, will serve as ambassador to Portugal.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: “John is a very successful auto businessman and champion golfer. For over thirty years, he has been an incredible business leader in West Palm Beach, respected by all.” “I’ve known John for a long time. Arrigo was a longtime associate of Trump, Business Insider reported in 2021.
