Galzmann, Kabul Airport, left on Wednesday evening local time on his way to Doha, where he will be met by American envoys hostage to Adam Bouhler with a team from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The 65 -year -old Americans, who was kidnapped during his visit to Kabul as tourists on December 5, 2022, came after Bouhler met officials from the Afghan Foreign Ministry along with Qatari officials.
While Qatar maintained diplomatic relations with Afghanistan after the Taliban 2021 acquired, the United States did not do so.

The diplomatic source confirmed that the release of Galzmann was accomplished as a “generosity of goodwill” by the Taliban as an indication of “confidence” in the continuous role of Qatar as a mediator between Washington and Kabul.
The Stock Exchange is different from the release of two other Americans who were released earlier this year, including Ryan Corbit and William McCain, who were released in exchange for a Taliban member in the United States’ reservation in a final deal in which the Biden administration entered into.
