Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Proplexity Ai, made waves in the world of technology, but the personal revelation left the co -founder of Zerodha Nikil Kamat clearly surprised. During a conversation about WTF KAMATH, Srinivas participated that he is the first engineer in his extended family – a fact that challenged expectations and common perceptions.
The moment was revealed when Cathm inquired about his family’s background.
“My mom is working in the central government, and my father was a financial accountant. So I am actually the first engineer in the extended family,” revealed Srenivas.
Kamath answered, I was surprised, “Really? You are Tamili, right?” His reaction repeated a great belief – engineering is deeply inherent in the culture of southern India, and most families of Tamil have a strong tendency towards technical professions.
Srenivas admitted stereotypes, but he made it clear that his family’s roots were in financing. “The engineering was still a new thing at the time,” he added.
In addition to academics and functional monuments, Srinivas attributed to his family, especially his mother and wife, to play an effective role in his journey. “I did all work to study and do well, but they took care of other things for me. So it is not an individual effort,” Share.
To date, as the CEO of AI Fast growing company, he finds himself dependent on his wife for support. “I run the company, but it takes care of many things for me at home. It is not only about home responsibilities – it relates to moral support,” he stressed.
Srenivas also opened around the emotional weight of the leadership. “As a founder or CEO, you should always appear as if you have discovered everything. But there are several times when you don’t necessarily feel the best of your chances,” I admit.
The most important importance of a person is to rely on, especially during unconfirmed times. “There are things that you cannot share with your colleagues because, as a leader, you must display confidence. But you have a reliable person to talk to him, whether to reassure or verify reality, all this difference happens.”
He pointed out that success could be deceptive as well. “Sometimes, when things go well, you feel at the top of the world. But someone should bring you back to Earth and say:“ Hey, there is nothing that has not been discovered yet. “My wife is doing it for me.”

Thinking about his IIT days, Srinivas remembered how his mother played a similar role. “When I was studying for Iit, my mother always kept me and made sure I focused. This is important.” He pointed out that although many sounds can create chaos, the presence of a person or two reliable people as an invaluable guideline.
