Thousands of Israelis held a protest on Saturday to demand the release of the remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip. There has been cautious optimism in recent days that a ceasefire and hostage release agreement in Gaza may finally be within reach after more than 14 months of war between Israel and Hamas in the Palestinian enclave.
