Thousands meet for mourning

Thousands gathered in cemeteries across North Macedonia for the funerals of dozens of people who were killed in a nightclub fire on Sunday.

The fire torn the small pulse club in the town of Kokani, killing 59 years old and wounding other degrees.

Officials say that the club illegally obtained its license, and that it lacks the machine guns, and that the place was the store of a transformer rug, the emergency exit was closed at the time of the fire.

More than 20 people, including government officials, police officers and club manager, were held with anger.

Futures were made throughout the country on Thursday for the dead.

The funeral procession was in Kokani long – it was understood. This small city of less than 30,000 people lost dozens of its youth.

Many mourners have set up pictures of the people who lost. Some teenagers tried to hide their tears behind the sunglasses, but others cried frankly.

The dead were buried alongside the Kokani cemetery. It was the service of the Orthodox Church to follow up.

In Skopje, about 1000 people gathered for the funeral of Andrej Gorgieski, a 43 -year -old singer in the DNK band that was performing at the club when the fire broke out.

While today is dedicated to mourning, anger grows on corrupt practices that allowed the night -pulse night disorder.

Protests against corruption occurred throughout the country this week.

On Monday, some in Kokani sabotaged a pub they said the owner of the night pulse was also running. Others threw rocks and shattered windows at the mayor’s office the same night.

Anger and sadness pushed government inspections of cafes and night clubs across Northern Macedonia on any possible safety violations.

Investigators have now named all the 59 people who were killed in the fire – most of them teenagers and youth.

Interior Minister Panskovski said earlier this week that the deadly fire started at 02:30 local time (01:30 GMT) on Sunday and spread quickly as the ceiling was made of flammable materials.

He said that there are 500 people inside the place at the time, more than 250 tickets that were sold, and that there are “reasons for doubting the presence of bribery and corruption” linked to the fire.

More than 160 people were in the fire, including 45 suffering from very serious injuries. Many of them were transferred to hospitals in neighboring Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Turkey for specialized treatment.
