Arne Slot, Liverpool manager, says his team still has a job to do because they are ready to win the Premier League title at home against Tottenham on Sunday.

A point of their remaining five matches will be secured by winning the twentieth title for The Reds-and the first since the 2019-20 season.

Slot said: “It is a great responsibility. We realize that the last time this club won the league during the Kofid period. So everyone looks forward to Sunday.

“But we know that there is still a job to do. We need at least one point.

“This is what we know, and we hope, what our fans also know when they come to the stadium in which they support us in the best possible way as they did throughout the season, but also be aware of the fact that we still need a point.

“It is a great game that we look forward to, but also a responsibility we bear on Sunday.”

The opening will become the twelfth manager to win the Premier League if he completed the task at the end of this week.

Jurgen Klopp is the only Liverpool manager who runs it, and ends the 30 -year waiting for the title in 2020.

But Slot says Sunday will be difficult, despite the local Tottenham poor season.

He said: “There is a game that must be played against the Tottenham team that plays for something special – not in the league but in the European League and they will want to prepare for it in the best possible way.

“We only focus on the next opponent as always, that’s Tottenham now. So we will try to prepare the team itself as we did throughout the season.

“We hope that the players will be able to bring the same energy and mentality they brought throughout the entire season.

“We expect the same as the fans.”
