There is AI inside Windows Paint and Notepad now. Here’s how to use it

Notepad may be known as an editor of a symbol from a text processor, but in recent years Microsoft has added more features in the method of automatic coordination and savings. If you opened it in Windows, you will see these features as well as the Copilot button in the upper upper corner of the interface.

You cannot use Copilot inside the NotePad to create a new text, as you can in Copilot on the web or in other tools such as ChatGPT. Instead, the feature allows you to rewrite and adjust what you have already wrote – so before clicking on the Copilot button, you need to put some text in the notebook and then select it.

With the selection of the Copilot button, and you will get a set of options: Make shorter and Make a longer time It is clear that it can be used to change the selected text, and it has also got a file Change the tone The option if you want to make the text more inspiring, formal, informal or comic. There too Change coordinationWhich allows you to place the selected text in a different structure: menu, marketing or poetry, for example.

You can also choose Write down From this list to get a more comprehensive collection of options – and seeing the rewritten text inspections before its application. A new popup window appears, giving you more options to change length, tone and coordination. You can also get different differences to choose between them in each case. When you find something you love, click Replace To exchange the current text.

At the time of writing this report, it seems that Notepad gives everyone some rewriting AI for free-but as with Creator Image in Paint, you will need some Artificial intelligence credits With Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro subscription to use this widely.

Of course, if you prefer not to use these artificial intelligence tools and do not want to see the Copilot button hangs out, you can turn it out completely: Click the gear icon (top right), then turn off Copilot Switch a key.
