Activists say that the winner of the Palestinian Academy Award was detained in the occupied West Bank after the outbreak of violence between Israeli and Palestinian settlers.
Hamdan Balla, who was one of four advisers participating in any other land, was surrounded by his settlers during a Monday’s attack in the village of Susia, according to five Jewish Americans.
The coach, Yoval Abraham, said that Mr. Bali was beaten and captured by the soldiers while they were in an ambulance, although this has been waived by Israel.
Without naming Mr. Ballal, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that three Palestinians and Israelis were detained after suspected “rock forces” in the security forces.
The five Jewish American activists said that about ten convincing settlers had launched an attack in Sosya at approximately 18:00 (16:00 GMT).
Activists said that they went to the village to document the accident and were attacked by themselves, as the settlers destroyed the windows of their cars, and the punching and hit them with sticks.
It was reported that it is surrounded by the house of Mr. Ballal.
Joal Ibrahim, the Israeli director who won the Academy Award this month alongside Mr. Bali, said that people were injured and destroyed by real estate in the attack.
One of the BBC activists told that they complained of Israeli soldiers that they were being attacked. They said that the army intervened and retreated the settlers.
The Israeli army confirmed that the Israeli Defense Army soldiers and the Israeli police arrived to disperse the confrontation.
They said that the rocks were “thrown” in the security forces.
The Israeli Defense Army said: “In response, the forces arrested three Palestinians suspected of throwing rocks on them, as well as an Israeli civilian involved in the violent confrontation.”
“The detainees were taken to further interrogation by the Israeli police. An Israeli citizen was injured in the accident and was evacuated for medical treatment.”
There is no other land – Which chose the best documentary at the Oscars 97 – It follows the battle on Massifer Yata, a society with about 20 villages, and friendship between Adra and Ibrahim.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967. Israeli settlements in the region are illegal under international law, although Israel opposes this.
They have expanded over the past 55 years, to become a pivotal point of violence and conflicting demands around the Earth.
Since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in 2023, settlers’ violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank has risen.
