The United States is defending customs duties on the island of Penguin and remote seals

The US Secretary of Commerce defended the country’s decision to impose a tariff on a group of unmanned islands, which are only filled with penguins and seals.

Houard Lootnick told the BBC in the United States to his PBC partner that the imposition of definitions on the Hurd and McDonald Islands was aimed at closing the “funny gaps” and would prevent other countries from charging across the islands to reach the United States.
