The trailer for James Gunn’s Superman movie features a secret cameo from one of DC Comics’ major villains

Look for! It’s not a bird or a plane, however New trailer for the movie “Superman”. Absolutely packed with details and Easter eggs that fans will spend the rest of 2024 (and beyond) obsessing over. Make no mistake, the shots still manage to create a new tone that establishes our main trio: David Corenswet’s Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult’s James Bondian Lex Luthor. But there’s no way to miss the point that this film feels like a real piece of music, with appearances from many major and minor DC heroes proving it. James Gunn is clearly setting up a larger DC Universe.

While that includes All the obvious side characters that may or may not end up in this new Justice League At one point, there was an important name almost completely absent from the teaser: Angela Spica/The Engineer, played by María Gabriela de Faria. Eagle-eyed viewers can catch a glimpse of the mysterious villain in just a handful of shots, as he battles Superman on a baseball field or smashes through a wall with nothing but brute force. However, there is one moment that is easy to miss, where it can be seen in full. You might just need a magnifying glass to really notice it. A fan account on Twitter (Lex Luthor more definitely He calls it “X”) got to the bottom of this, posting a screenshot of the scene showing Luthor’s gaudy skyscrapers connected by a bridge – highlighting the engineer’s tiny figure directly atop the massive structure. The trailer for “Superman” doesn’t reveal much of anything regarding the actual plot of the blockbuster, focusing instead on impressing upon audiences the look and feel of this reboot. It’s all related The mysterious figure known as the Engineer. Named Dr. Angela Spica, the character has always straddled the line between villainous hero and all-out villain since her introduction in DC Comics in 1999. In the source material, the Engineer is associated with a splinter group of like-minded individuals called Dr. Angela Spica. Authority (Which Gunn has already described as a passion project of his previously). In the “Superman” movie footage, you can see the Engineer in her signature costume walking over Lex Luthor’s “LuthorCorp” building (or you can make that Buildingsas they appear to be two towering skyscrapers connected by the aforementioned bridge) on her way to what will likely be a face-to-face encounter with Superman’s villain. Although their interactions in the comics are few and far between, the two definitely share a lot in common in terms of strength of mind and ambition – two things that could easily lead to them joining forces against the Man of Steel.
