The orders of the Trump Administration’s Supreme Court to return the man who was accidentally deported to El Salvador

The US Supreme Court said on Thursday that the Trump administration should facilitate the return of the Maryland man who was accidentally deported to El Salvador, and refused to resume emergency in the administration.

The administration acknowledged that it had made a mistake in sending it to El Salvador, but it argued that she was no longer able to do anything about it.

The liberal court judges said that the administration should have been accelerating to correct its “terrible mistake” and was “clearly wrong” to suggest that it could not return it home.

Abu Garcia, 29, was detained by immigration agents and was deported last month.

In 2019, the migration judge prevented the United States from deporting Abu Garcia to El Salvador, and found that he had faced potential persecution by local gangs.

The lawyer for the Ministry of Justice acknowledged in a court hearing that Abu Garcia should not be deported. Public Prosecutor Bam Bondi later removed the lawyer, Eris Revini, from the case and put it on leave.
