The Oberoi Group recently introduced a new employment and skill development program called RISE (Skills Improvement and Investment Programme). The initiative, which was launched on Friday, aims to provide education, training and secured careers in the field of hospitality to young people from diverse backgrounds.

This educational program reflects the chain’s 90-year commitment to exceptional hospitality and talent development, with an emphasis on technical, soft skills and continuing education. Under the programme, RISE plans to take on between 1,800 and 2,000 trainees annually and provide training by 2025 in areas such as food and beverage service, kitchen operations, front office, housekeeping and laundry.

Through RISE, the Oberoi Group continues its dedication to nurturing talent and empowering communities. By 2025, the program aims to attract between 1,800 and 2,000 trainees annually and provide training in food and beverage services, kitchen operations, front office, housekeeping and laundry.

Selection will be done through top skills organizations such as Job Plus, Hospitality Skills Council (THSC) and National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). This effort celebrates the vast heritage of the Oberoi Group while meeting the changing demands of the hospitality sector. Throughout its nine decades of operation, The Oberoi Group has been known for its exceptional hospitality standards, as well as nurturing talent, encouraging innovation and contributing to positive societal change.

As we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Oberoi Group, Vikram Oberoi, Group CEO, said: Oberoi: “This initiative highlights our vision of creating meaningful opportunities and a lasting legacy of care and service.”

The RISE program goes beyond technical training by providing participants with the essential life skills and confidence needed to succeed in their careers. The Oberoi Group is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of motivated young people. Interns will benefit from extensive mentorship and work experience at selected prestigious hotels within the Oberoi group, ensuring that their personal and professional growth meets the organisation’s high standards. As part of the RISE programme, participants will also receive compensation as they embark on a fulfilling career, with opportunities to learn, develop and advance in the hospitality industry and beyond.

“We are not only creating pathways to careers, we are also building confidence and empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds. This initiative underscores our commitment to inclusion, growth and excellence, ensuring that each participant emerges as a skilled professional ready to succeed. We invite individuals between the ages of HR Executives: “From 18 to 22 years to embark on a rewarding hospitality career with The Oberoi Group.”
