“Gaza is eliminated from the map”

Many Moroccans see Trump’s position as a continuation of policies under his predecessor, former US President Joe Biden.

He added, “Biden hidden some things, but Trump has shown everything,” on the pretext that their policies differ in tone, but not in essence.

The Arab Abdak, Advisor to the former Governor Prime Minister in Morocco, said that the public anger did not grow except with the continuation of the war.

“It is not a war-Gaza is eliminated from the map.”

A wide alliance of groups joined the protests. While the Moroccan authorities tolerate most of the demonstrations, they arrested activists accused of targeting foreign embassies or linking their criticism to ownership.

Many demonstrators are still angry at Morocco’s decision in 2020 to normalize relations with Israel, a step that sparked controversy at that time and continues to feed discontent.
