A judge spent on Friday that listening sessions that re -find Eric and Lille Mindez could continue despite the opposition of the Los Angeles County lawyer, a judge spent on Friday.
The brothers were sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of conditional release at the age of 18 and 21 years after being convicted of the murder of their parents, Jose and Kitie Mainndes, at their home in Beverly Hills.
Former Los Angeles County County George Jaskoun The judge asked last year To change the punishment of brothers from life without the possibility of conditional release to 50 years. This would make them immediately qualified for conditional release because they committed the crime when they were smaller than 26.
But behind Jaskoun, the opposite of its course. Nathan Hoshman submitted a proposal last month to withdraw a re -submitting request.
Hochman’s office said it could not support the re -introduction of brotherhood because they did not recognize lying during their trial about the reason for the killing of their parents and did not fully recognize full responsibility for their crime.
The Los Angeles County Supreme Provincial Court Michael Jessic said that the prosecutors could submit this argument during the re -sales session.
“All I have argued today is a completely fair game of the listening session to return the administration next Thursday,” he said.
There are no data from the brothers
The brothers appeared before the court to be enlarged, but they did not have any public data.
“They have been waiting for a long time to get some justice, and today it may be the largest day since their imprisonment,” said brothers’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, of the family.

While the defense argued that they acted out of self -defense after years of sexual assault by their father, the prosecutors said that the brothers killed their parents with millions of dollars.
The provincial lawyer, Habib Balian, said that the main case in the GASCón release petition was that it has not fully tackled the rehabilitation and lost the main elements of the original crime committed.
“What does that mean? To learn from your mistakes and really understand that you are wrong,” Balian said.
He presented evidence and videos of the brothers’ testimony from the first trial to show the cases they “made in their hideout of deception, lies and deception.”
He said that the brothers killed their parents from greed when they learned that they would be removed from the will, noting the observations of the psychiatrist, who said he showed “this was not self -defense.”
Giragos described the presentation as a “dog and bronching exhibition” and said that he “was nothing more than a political cover” as a result of the defeat of Hashman Gascon in the provincial lawyer race.
“They authorized the denial of sexual assault,” said Geragos.
Defense criticizes the use of the image
Gerargos has argued that the judge has a complete authority to move forward in re -submitting it under a law in California, which was issued in 2023, which allows the court to remember the prison sentence and start to re -trade at any time.
Gerargos also objected to Balian, including a picture of the deceased parents and blood in his presentation, which he said “was rewritten” family members and victims.
The cousin of the brothers Anamaria Baral and his aunt, Terry Baralet, were among the family members who were in the courtroom. The family’s relationship with Hashman has been strained.
Most of the family of the extended brothers support it. Tamara Godal, a cousin, submitted a complaint with the state requesting the removal of Hokman from the case, citing his alleged bias against the brothers and claimed that he had violated a law aimed at protecting the rights of the victims.
Judal wrote that Hoshman had a “hostile, rejected and wonderful tone” in meetings with the family and creating “an atmosphere of dirt and bullying.”
In their response to the provincial lawyer’s proposal to withdraw the re -transmission request, Manendez’s lawyers asked whether Hochman had legitimate reasons for doing this or was affected by “changing political wind.”
Without re -submitting, the brothers still have two other paths to freedom. They made an appeal to reach the governor of California state, Gavin New Zeroum, who ordered the state of conditional release of the state to investigate whether the brothers would pose a threat to the public if they were released. The conditional release council is scheduled to hold its final sessions on June 13.
The Brotherhood also submitted a petition for the idealism in May 2023, asking the court to give them a new trial in light of the new evidence presented. Hashman’s office also made a proposal opposing this petition.
