Health officials and health officials said an Israeli air strike in a hospital in southern Gaza killed at least two people, including a senior Hamas official and a 16 -year -old boy.
Hamas said in a statement that Ismail Barhoum, a member of the Hamas political office, was killed while undergoing treatment at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis late on Sunday.
“We condemn this recent crime, which adds to the long record of the terrorist occupation, the violation of the sacred, life and medical facilities,” the Palestinian armed group said in a statement.
“It reaffirms its ignorance of all international laws and agreements and its continuous policy of systematic killing against our people and our leadership.”
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that Barhoum was the target of the attack.
The Israeli army said that the attack had been “munitions to alleviate the damage”, following the “widespread intelligence collection.”
“Hamas is taking advantage of the civil infrastructure, while brutally endangered the population of Ghazan – using an active hospital with sarcasm as a shelter to plan and carry out deadly terrorist attacks in a direct violation of international law,” the army said in a statement.
The assassination of Barhoum came a few hours after Hamas said that the Israeli forces killed Salah Al -Barawil, another member of the group’s political bureau, alongside his wife, in a blow to a shelter in a tent in Khan Yunis.
Israel has killed four members of the Hamas political office since Tuesday, when its forces resumed major military operations in the pocket after a period of weeks during the next stage of the ceasefire with Hamas.
Footage of Nasser Hospital from Nasser showed a fireworks that exploded from the upper floors of the building, where the Arabian Peninsula correspondent Rami Abu Tima was preparing for a live radio at the scene.
Al -Khandari from Gaza from Gaza said that Khodri from the island of Khodrari said that at least eight other Palestinians were injured in the attack, all of them receiving treatment for previous injuries.
Khodri said that the doctors in the hospital reported hours of spending hours to take out the fires in the targeted section of the attack.
Khodari said: “Hospitals all over the Gaza Strip are overpowered. There is no medical supplies or medicine, as Israeli forces continue to close the border crossing for 21 days now.”
“The situation is also escalating in different parts of the Gaza Strip, especially Beit Light in the north and raised it in the southern parts of the Gaza Strip.”
Fayrouz Sidhua, a shock surgeon at Nasser Hospital, said that the 16 -year -old boy was killed in the attack.
“I worked on it. I believe on March 18, I did the abdomen. Maybe he would have returned to the house tomorrow, but now he died,” said Sida to the island of the island.
Sidaoua said that the surgical wing of male patients had been destroyed and would need to be completely rebuilt.
He said: “The entire hospital smell is like smoke now.”
“The entire electrical system was destroyed. Each of its hinges was detonated. Most windows have been destroyed. The ceiling has collapsed. It is completely unusable. It should be torn and re -torn.”
Sidoa criticized the Israeli forces to target the hospital.
“Benjamin Netanyahu was recently sick. Well, he is accused of genocide. No one believes that Hamas can bomb the hospital because Benjamin Netanyahu is happening to go there. This is crazy.”
“This is completely crazy. You don’t bomb hospitals. Everyone knows that.”
Israeli forces have killed more than 600 people since their assault on the pocket, including dozens during the past 24 hours, according to Palestinian health officials.
