The Israeli strike at Nasser Hospital in Gaza is killed

An official in Hamas told the BBC:

Ismail Barhoum, head of the group’s financial affairs, was killed in the strike at Nasser Hospital, the main medical facility in Khan Yunis.

The official said he was receiving hospital treatment after he was injured in an air strike four days ago.

The Israeli army said it struck a major member of Hamas working inside the hospital complex after a “comprehensive process of gathering intelligence” and said that “microfinance” had been used to relieve harm.

Hamas, the Ministry of Health, said that “many others”, including medical employees, were injured.

The ministry said that the Ministry of Hospital was evacuated after the destruction of a large part.

The BBC’s check -up shots showed people trying to extinguish the fire after the strike.

Israel has repeatedly accused Hamas of using hospitals as places to hide weapons and leadership centers, which the group denies.

Another BBC official, Salah Barduel, was killed by a separate Israeli air strike in Khan Yunis on Sunday.

The Ministry of Health said that at least 30 people were killed in Khan Yunis and ravaged until Sunday morning, before the hospital strike in the evening.

Israel resumed its military campaign in Gaza on March 18, as it ended the ceasefire, which lasted for nearly two months. Hundreds of people have been killed since then.

Israel blamed Hamas for rejecting a new American proposal to extend the truce. In turn, Hamas accused Israel of abandoning the original deal agreed in January.

The war arose through Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people, especially civilians, and 251 others were killed.

Hamas -running Ministry of Health said that Israel responded to the October 7 attack with a military attack in Gaza to destroy Hamas, which killed more than 50,000 people.
