The head of the Israeli spy to step down after the row with PM

The head of the Israeli local intelligence agency resigned in Israel.

Ronen Bar announced his post on June 15 at a memorial event for the SHIN Bet members who died in service.

This came after he participated in fierce circulation of accusations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who rejected him last month. The Supreme Court Challenge by the Public Prosecutor and the opposition has put this step in waiting.

Ronen Bar said that he chose to announce his resignation on an evening, as he put it, symbolizing “a memory, heroism and sacrifice.”

He said, “The court session does not relate to my personal affairs, but about the independence of the presidents coming from the betting of the Shin, and of course I am ready to appear before any action that the court may request in this regard in the future.”

The issues that were subjected to fierce accusations among the two men again focused attention on the increasing bitterness among the opposition sections in Israeli society.
