European auto makers regain the influence as US tariffs, Donald Trump, entered 25 percent on imported cars, which were announced in late March, on Thursday. This step has already disrupted global supply chains, as major European manufacturers have expressed concern about new measures. In response, Stelantis, the US-European auto company, has canceled hundreds of American workers and announced a temporary closure of two manufacturers-one in Canada and the other in Mexico. European auto manufacturers now urge the European Union to take action in response to the American definitions to protect the interests of industry. Florent Marcays tells us more.
