Shortly less than two years ago, fighting erupted between the Sudanese army and the semi -military rapid support forces in Sudan, which sparked a civil war that continues anger. At least 150,000 people are believed to have died in the fighting, with more than 8.2 million displaced people. The United Nations calls it the most destructive humanitarian situation in the world. In addition to famine, the weak population faces sexual assault. Earlier this month, UNICEF reported that armed fighters had raped hundreds of children, both boys and girls. This is followed by a report last year that gender -based violence, by both sides, including sexual slavery, was rampant in the areas where war was walked.
