Jeff Flock Fox Business talks with EOS Energy Joe Mastrangelo’s CEO about China and displays the company’s battery production line.
On Thursday, the CEO EOS Energy discussed the battery industry company that is re -manufactured to the United States several years ago and competes with China with Fox Business Jeff Vodock.
EOS Energy brought the manufacture of long energy storage systems to the United States from the United States from China in 2018. The batteries make their batteries at TURTLE CREK, a city located in the Monohogla Valley in Pennsylvania.
“Not only did we create this product in the United States, but we also thought that we could build it in the United States, and we have proven that this is true,” said Joe Mastranglo, CEO of EOS Energy, told Flock when he was asked about the transfer of the company’s manufacturing and competition with China. “We can still build things in the United States.”
EOS Energy systems are dependent on zinc.

“It is basically a water -based electrolyte, so it is a non -reversible battery,” Mastrangelo explained.
“What you see here is moving on the line is every 10 seconds, a battery that starts from the line,” said EOS Energy Flock CEO. “This product, it’s safe, it’s simple. Everything is a basic commodity used in other industries. There is no rare land in the battery, no precious and flexible minerals.”

The battery maker has returned the jobs to the region when it was transferred to the United States, and has since expanded a working forces, according to Mustranjelo.
“(In) 2019, we had two people,” he told Flock. “Today, we have 500 people here at the building batteries.”

During the interview, he emphasized that innovation can help companies in the United States to compete With China.
“We can invent in the United States,” said Mastranjo. “Then it comes out, trains a working force. Like, our qualifications for a job in EOS are ready to work, and this is what we found in MON.
The company obtained a loan worth more than $ 303 million from the Ministry of Energy in early December. The company said at the time that this loan will help “financing the expansion of EOS manufacturing to 8 GB in 2027 to meet the increasing demand for long -term battery power storage systems.”
