What if the best moments of Star Trek did not happen? This may seem like a paradox, but let’s be honest, the paradoxes are what this science fiction has long been doing. The “paradox” definitely describes the leader of Romulalan Tomalak, who has the most distinctive appearance in Next generation It was a fake three -dimensional image in “Future Innocent” and in an alternative timetable of the conclusion of “All good things”.
In the event that you need a preliminary about the character, Tomalak is the Romanian leader who first appeared in “The Enemy” in an attempt to save the crew of the shattered scout ship. It is basically the equivalent Romulalan for Captain Picard … a person who is not afraid to achieve his teeth when necessary, but he ultimately prefers diplomatic solutions. The character was played to the point of perfection Babylon 5 Andreas Katsulas icon in four episodes of TngBut in a noticeable development, we only saw Tomalok “real” in half of these rings.

What does “real” mean, in this case? We saw Tomalc for the first time in the “enemy”, and he appeared again in “The Defector”, one of the best Romulan rings in TNG. The next character appeared in the “Future Impervation” episode, but we discovered that it was only a three -dimensional image through the development of that episode.
The “Future Implement” was the episode in which Riker woke up in Sickbay after the open cold championship to discover that after 16 years and is now the leader of the Foundation. He suffers from a comfortable memory loss, and he moves in his duties as a leader of the pioneer, including negotiating the Union/Romalan Peace Treaty with Tomalak. In the end, he realizes that he is trapped in simulation by Waheed foreign O boy, and any of his experience (including multiple interactions with Tomalak) was real.
After that, Tomalak only appeared on the screen, but it was Dozy. He appeared in the conclusion of the TNG “All Things Good Things” series, where he and Picard agree to send one ship for each of them to investigate a mysterious spatial phenomenon in the Devron system (it is particularly ticked that Picard has never wiped this plan using Starfleet). By the end of the episode, Picard saved the galaxy and reset the reality, but this means that all his dealings with Tomalak occurred in an alternative fact that was erased soon.

For us, we just like to see Tomalak on the screen and not lose a lot of sleep about whether these appearances are “real” or not. Thanks to Andreas Katsulas, Tomalak has become easier to forget more in an unforgettable in each of Next generation. The fact that his personality was very receptive to diplomacy by the end of the series, helped to dispel any Romollan concepts as one wicked.
However, there are few things Star Trek Fans love to discuss more than Canon, and some are likely to have affected Tomalac actually on the schedule of the show (though, though, like this, like Strange new worlds He emphasized that this schedule is always on a state of flow. These fans will serve well by remembering other distinctive words Science fiction Show’s famous opening song: “If you are wondering how to eat and breathe, and other scientific facts … Just repeat yourself,” it is just an offer, I must really rest! “
