The Attin Mystery’s skeleton crew could hide a First Order connection

The mystery of Attin was at the center of ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ From the beginning, it puts a fun twist on the classic treasure island/planet trope by making the main characters all from the hidden world. Instead of finding it for the first time, they have to find their way back. As the first season continued, more and more interesting tidbits about the secret planet of the Republic leaked out. The city of Atin is valuable because it houses one of the last operating mints of the Old Republic, but there seems to be more to it than just money.

Attin was isolated from the rest of the galaxy for many years – long before the Empire came into being. However, when Jude Na-Nawood (Jude Law) landed on the planet in Onyx Cinder in Episode 7, “We’re Gonna Have a Lot of Trouble”, he was quickly welcomed as an envoy of the Republic and taken to the vaults. This is because the ship is immediately recognized as one of the Mint’s ships, with Attin’s robots responding as if this were a completely normal occurrence. If the Republic has not been effective for years, who will come to raise the money? Maybe this is the first shipment in decades and the robots don’t think this is strange. Or maybe someone has been taking money from the planet all along and just says it’s for the Republic.

The most likely culprit in such a scheme? First Order agents from the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy. Here’s what might happen truly It occurs in Attin.

“Skeleton Crew” takes place at the same time as “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka.” The new “Star Wars” timeline.. The New Republic is still thriving, and the First Order still has years to go before it becomes a real threat to the galaxy, but we know that Palpatine’s Shadow faction is secretly building up its power, amassing fleets and military forces. In “The Force Awakens”, we learn that the First Order bolstered its ranks by kidnapping children from the outer reaches of the galaxy, and that it plundered many resources in the same way. But in “The Last Jedi” We also see the infrastructure of companies that build and sell first-class ships and weapons.

This money has to come from somewhere. While the previous Imperials who founded the First Order were likely able to take much of the spoils with them when the empire fell, the size of the First Order would require more investment. Since Palpatine knew all about Attain during his time as Chancellor, he could easily have continued the ruse after he became Emperor. He could even maintain the pattern of off-world charges while living in exile in the Unknown Regions. After all, no one in the New Republic knew anything about Attin, so it was very easy for Palpatine to continue using the Mint to fund the First Order and his other dark projects.

While the mint itself is located deep in the Attin region Another possible homage to “Treasure Planet.” -Very mysterious in itself, and there’s still more going on. There’s only one episode left of “Skeleton Crew” to bring everything together, but we still haven’t met much of said supervisor. In their letter to the children, the parents also mentioned that they were going to learn about the true nature of Aten as they grew up, although they did not explain what that nature was. Are they just talking about mint? Its status as a secret planet? Or something else?

In other words, it is still unclear how much all adults know, and how much only the supervisor knows. Some early fan theories speculated that Attin was involved in Palpatine’s Dark Force clone project, though that seems a little on the nose for a show that has really tried to distance itself from the main “Star Wars” stories. However, there is still potential there.

As large as the Mint is, it probably wouldn’t take an entire planet to print money, especially given how much money appears to be automated. There is also no economy they can trace, as the Old Republic that founded Attin no longer exists. So, what are all these analysts about? truly a job? Maybe Jude bringing a lightsaber to the planet will move some things along. At the very least, he would have a hard time getting back out into the world with his campaign.
