(Reuters) – Tesla Inc said on Friday it was recalling 694,304 vehicles in the United States due to a problem with its tire pressure monitoring system.
The company said the issue, which affects some Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck vehicles, will be resolved through an over-the-air software update.
The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light may not remain on between drive cycles, causing it to fail to warn the driver of low tire pressure, the recall notice said.
The problem could lead to drivers using the vehicle with improperly inflated tires, increasing the risk of an accident, the notice said.
