Southampton coach Ivan Gorek is desperate to demonstrate that they are not “the worst team in the English Premier League history.”
The saints have carried a miserable season, currently sitting in the Premier League and 17 points of safety after only two wins throughout the season.
They only have nine points from 29 games so far, and they are shy of a total of 11 Derby provinces in 2007-2008, and after they have only three points since December, they are at a real risk of failure to reach this number.
“The team must compete and try to do our best. We must be truly excited,” said Gorek, whose host in the FA Cup in the FA Cup said on Wednesday.
“I don’t want to be the worst team in the history of the Premier League.
“If it is not possible to be the last on the table, we must do our best, so at this moment, this is our goal.
“I think we are in good condition, we can do this and we will try to win the match.”
