The platform will offer a library of customizable AI agents that can perform various tasks, from onboarding new employees to managing complex cross-functional projects. “You’ll see the library of agents in Slack. It’s very magical to see humans and agents together, and to think about this world where humans continue to work with humans, but the agents are there as part of the team,” Seaman explained.
The main focus is user trust and data management. Seaman stressed that all agents will work with “user context,” meaning they can only access information that the user has permission to see. “Ultimately our goal is to respect the user context of each system the agent and person interacted with,” he said.
The platform includes robust safeguards through what Salesforce calls “Trust layer“, which handles sensitive information appropriately and ensures compliance with business rules. Users can test agents in real-time and monitor their decision-making processes through a transparent creation interface.
How AI agents can transform enterprise software
For organizations struggling with fragmented software stacks, this integration can signal a shift in how organizations approach their technology infrastructure. While Seaman avoided specific predictions about which tools might become obsolete, he suggested that many manual processes currently implemented across many systems could be streamlined through these context-aware agents.
One concrete example Seaman highlights is employee onboarding: “Taking you from a new hire to a product is something the company cares about, and it’s also, from an end-user perspective, a lonely and scary experience in your first few months trying to find your way.
