It contains the following Spoilers For Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Season 1, Episode 4, “I can’t say I don’t remember in Atlin.”
While Jude Na Nawood (Jude Law) attempts to locate Atlin to take Wim (Raffi Cabot Conyers), Fern (Ryan Keira Armstrong), KP (Kerianna Krater), and Neil (voiced by Robert Timothy Smith) home indefinitely. For his own purposes, Onyx Cinder lands on a shockingly similar but nonetheless very different planet. “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”, Season 1, Episode 4, “Can’t Say I Remember Not on Atlin”, reveals that the planet bearing his name is of great interest to other space pirates as well – namely SM-33 (voiced by Nick) . Frost) is the mysterious old captain, who makes sure to leave some surprises for people who try to follow in his footsteps into the mysterious world. However, in this episode, the action takes place on At Achrann – a warring, post-apocalyptic version of Attlin that serves as a surprisingly grim entry in the series of planets that make up the so-called Gems of the Old Republic.
The “Skeleton Crew” enjoys honoring him to other projects, and At Achrann adds a significant helping of Fallout to the overall look of the Star Wars show. With Atlin’s first appearance, viewers are introduced to ancient futuristic suburbs that bear similarities to the pre-nuclear war world of “Fallout.” With At Achrann, we get the “after” part of the picture, and the destroyed planet looks a lot like the wasteland where most of the “Fallout” series takes place. The eternal state of conflict on the planet seems to refer to the famous slogan of the “Fallout” property: “War. War never changes.”
Could Skeleton Crew’s mysterious planets be similar to Fallout’s Vaults?
What’s interesting about the show’s heightened “Fallout” vibes is that Episode 4 also confirms several other hidden “gem” worlds: in Aytuu, Atrissia, Aravin, and Acoda. Since Attin and Athrann feature almost identical sites, it is reasonable to assume that the other sites have identical sites as well. Both planets also share the fearsome “Overseer’s Tower,” which hides interesting information and serves a mysterious purpose.
Considering the impact of the “fallout” on the two Jewels of the Old Republic As we have seen, it is easy to wonder whether the identical planets and their inauspicious overseer signs are secretly like vaults. In “Fallout,” the vaults are massive nuclear shelters Which is allegedly intended to help its residents survive during the apocalypse. However, in reality, residents are subjected to all kinds of harsh tests and (sometimes literally) inhumane conditions, which are generally supervised from the superintendent’s office.
As it stands, this theory seems surprisingly logical. The peaceful, controlled city of Atlin and the chaotic city of Atlin are almost identical but their residents are subject to very different conditions, and their overseer’s towers seem to serve a similar narrative purpose as do the overseer’s offices in the vaults. In Atlin’s reputation as a treasure trove, it could also refer to a control ‘vault’ that has been saved from the horrific fates of other gems… though, given the strange bureaucratic devotion the planet has to the so-called Great Work, it may be experimenting… Its own peculiarity. Future episodes of “Skeleton Crew” will reveal what life is like in other Old Republic gems, and we’ll see how far down the “Fallout” rabbit hole the show is willing to crawl.
New episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will be released every Tuesday at 6pm PT on Disney+.
