Sherlock Holmes Reunion Explained, Episode 7 of Skeleton Crew

“Skeleton Crew” has been the refreshing, cool, family-friendly gift that keeps on giving, and this week was no exception. After praising the likes “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The johns” Last week, Episode 7, titled “We’re Gonna Be in Lots of Trouble,” revealed yet another hidden treasure via a dramatic appearance by Sherlock Holmes.

When the series’ young heroes and Jude (Jude Law) return to Attain, the former’s parents are briefly seen detained before Safety robots Before they and the rest of the locals on the planet were announced. The voice belongs to the unseen “supervisor,” the supposed head of the mint reserve operation in Al Atin. He’s polite, direct and charmingly British – exactly what you’d expect from comedian, writer and actor Stephen Fry.

For avid listeners of the show, Fry’s voice is unmistakable and has already been applied to equally huge and beloved stories as many that unfold in the “Star Wars” universe. Before “Skeleton Crew,” the actor’s elegant tone could be heard narrating the “Harry Potter” audiobooks, as well as A special interview for the “Harry Potter” films. and the 2005 film adaptation of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” Also coincidentally, in 2011, Fry starred opposite Jude Law as Mycroft, Holmes’ slightly overlooked brother, in Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.” The only question is whether these two will meet on screen before “Skeleton Crew” ends.

Although Judd has finally gotten his hands on the treasure he’s been searching for for so long, there’s a chance the superintendent who handles At-Attin’s mint reserve might have something to say about it. It would be great as the series draws to its inevitable conclusion for former “Sherlock Holmes” stars Fry and Law to appear on screen together again, this time with the former as a glorified bank manager in a galaxy far, far away. . Then again, considering that a talent like Fry is involved in this series, there’s a chance there’s more to this supervisor than we know.

For a story that spent so much time searching for Tak Rennod’s treasure, it would be a huge twist in the story to have the legendary pirate finally appear in “Skeleton Crew” as someone else entirely. What if, in a “Wizard of Oz”-inspired twist, it turns out that the mysterious overseer was actually Raynaud all along, and he has simply packed away his pirating days for a simpler life making his own gold instead? It would be great to see Fry come out from behind a massive pile of credits and admit that “the pirate life wasn’t for me after all.” If so, we just hope Tak doesn’t fly off the hilt of his lightsaber and attack an entire Sith lord in our beloved “Skeleton Crew.” Seriously, if one hair on our son Neil’s head were burned, we’d go into Wookiee rage mode.
