Reducing food scrap – bionicoldguy

I just read the book Very treated peopleBy Chris Van Tollkin, about a large amount of foods that are very manufactured in our modern meals, which I recommend. I always knew about clear types of treatment such as converting wheat into white flour by removing germs and bran and then grinding the rest. But the author also focuses on things in our food, which looks like the test tube more than a garden, such as Xanthan glue or monooglycerides. Food that is very treated has three main effects, and the first is the removal of nutrient ingredients such as wheat germ, and the second is “seizure”, for example, grinding fruit in juice that collapses the cell walls. The third is additions. I have always thought that the first two are more important, which is why brown rice prefers it on white or an apple over apple juice. But the author provides convincing evidence that additives are not good for us either. It also follows the history of how large food companies such as Nestle recently opened a new market for their products in Brazil, and how this led to a significant increase in obesity in the population.

It is difficult to completely rid your diet of highly processed foods unless you are a good cook and you can prepare most of your meals from scratch. But it is definitely possible to reduce. One of the great contributors to the excessive food made in my diet is “treated” like cookies or candy, and I can definitely try to be more disciplined about eating it often. Also, there are “boutique” brands of commercial foods such as soup and hot pepper that contains high -quality ingredients and less than additives. These can be eaten directly or used as a start for sisters or Caserol. Boutique brands are more expensive, but the money that I save for eating fewer treatments can compensate for the difference. I have motivated me to read this book to do more in measures like this.
