Reburn’s La Quimra FPS for the first time on Steam on April 25

Reburn was previously known as 4A Games Ukraine, one of the multiple studios that operate in the metro video game series. Reburn has more than 110 developers, it includes many designers, artists, animation, programmers, QA and more metro game privilege.

The title appeared in 2010, and it was a great success in the Triple-A game. Then I participated to develop the metro last light.

But in 2012, ThQ was bankrupt and the rights of Metro Last Light were obtained at an auction by Koch Media, which operates under the deep silver brand.

In 2014, Russia attacked Ukraine for the first time. Part of the team left and founded their studio in Malta.

“The situation was not big, and some people wanted to leave the country. We arranged and helped them a little, and they created a studio in Malta,” Limar said.

This studio became 4A Malta, and they agreed to develop a third joint match, Metro Exodus. Both studios are closely done. Metro Exodus was released in 2019, and both studios grew enough to want to work in their own games independently.

In 2020, 4A Malta was obtained by Group Embraler, which also owns an IP metro. But 4A Ukraine has received additional funding to finance its development for a new independent project based on its IP, La Quimra. Now the brand has been renamed as Reburn. The 4A brand remained with 4A Malta, but both companies can use the 4A engine. Reburn was working away, but he had to deal with both the Russian invasion 2022 and Covid-19 as well.
