Primark president descends after 16 years due to “inappropriate behavior towards a woman”

The owner of the British fashion chain associated on Monday announced that the CEO of PRIMARK had resigned after an investigation into the company in his behavior towards a woman “in a social environment”.

His resignation, which is being implemented immediately, comes after spent 16 years as the CEO of Primark, and supervises his expansion in Europe and the United States.

The company said in a statement, “Marshant’s cooperation with the investigation, acknowledged his mistake in the ruling and accepts that his actions decreased less than the standards that ABF expected,” the company said in a statement.

“He apologized to the individual concerned,” the group added.

ABF said it continues to support the person who caught his attention to his behavior.

The group did not immediately provide more details when contacting it by AFP.

“I am very disappointed,” said George Weston, CEO of ABF.

He added that “our culture must be and greater than anyone.”

Marchant will be replaced by a temporary basis by Eoin Tonge, the financial director of ABF.
