Trump also told reporters during his meeting with UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer on Thursday that peace negotiation was in the final stages, but he practiced caution against sharing details related to peacekeeping in the region until a deal was completed.

“I think we are very advanced in a deal,” Trump said. “But we haven’t made a deal yet. So I don’t like talking about keeping peace until we have a deal. I would like to make things.”
Trump also said he did not expect Putin to violate any peace agreement with Ukraine.
“I don’t think he will violate his word,” Trump said on Thursday. “I don’t think it will return when we conclude a deal. I think the deal will be made now.”
