Grahaam Potter insisted on West Ham “need to be better” after a 1-0 poor defeat for her fellow wolves.
Gordon Strand Larsen’s goal witnessed that the hammers suffer from its sixth defeat for the 11th Potter match that leaves them in the sixteenth place in the Premier League.
After apparently turned a corner of Arsenal and Leicester victories, the iron lost two and painted one of the last three and their performance in Molineux was especially inspiring, with Thomas Soucek rejects his best opening at the end of the game.
“We have had a really good chance, a great opportunity and we did not take it, then they entered the game,” Potter said.
“We wanted to be more compact, and as a result, the first half was not good for us. We had to control things in the first half and we did. We were better in the second half, and some other opportunities as well, but in the end it is not enough to win the game.
“It was a game of two halves. If you looked at the big opportunities of the game, and perhaps more for us. From the performance perspective, we were definitely not happy as we were in the first half.
“The second half was much better. Thomas’s opportunity was at the end a great opportunity. We need to be better if we wanted to do what is better.”

Potter penetrates the Fullkrug effect
West Ham was improved after Niklas Volcrov inserted into the disappointing Ivan Ferguson, as the German striker collided with a head of the crossbar and provides more platform to work at the forefront.
On Fullkrug’s performance, which has been in his displacement since early January, Potter said: “Really good. He can see what he brings to the team. We can go for a long time to him, pick up the second balls, a threat in the box.
“For the first time he played 45 minutes for us very long so that it is fun.”
We need to get more table
West Ham remains 34 points, the level with Everton and Tottenham, but while the drop does not represent a threat, Potter still wants to ask for high standards as much as possible from now until the end of the season.
He added: “The motivation is to get the table more. To win more points, every game is important for us.
“We want to get the largest possible number of points. To do this you have to play well, we were not in the first half. We have suffered from it in the end.
“Some positives, but in general we need to be better.”
