Police raids through France after a wave of prison attacks

Twenty -five people were arrested in the early morning raids throughout France in response to a wave of coordinated prison attacks and prison officers’ homes in April.

The raids are taking place throughout the country on Monday, including in the capital, Paris, Marcel and Bordeaux in the south and Lyon.

French Minister of Justice, Gald Darmanin, suggested that the attacks are the work of gangs who are missing against a new government campaign to smuggle drugs.

The most dangerous incidents occurred over five nights earlier this month, where the vibrant vehicles and two prisons aimed at shooting were placed in what Darmanin described as “terrorist attacks.”

The prisons were in Tolon, Aix Ein Provence, Marseille, Valans and Nim in southern France, and in Philipint and Nanner, near Paris among those targeting.

Since April 13, the French government has said that there have been at least 65 registered attacks against prisons or prison staff, Lu Vijaro said.

One of the groups that the defense of the rights of prisoners has claimed responsibility for attacks over the past two weeks in a series of jobs on Telegram Social Network, according to the French media.

President Emmanuel Macron promised that the attackers “will be found and trial and punish.”

Prosecutors against anti -terrorism, who are leading the case so far, announced 25 arrests on Monday.

Some of them were conducted inside the prisons, with the presence of suspected operations leaders who are believed to have directed the attacks aside for interrogation, according to the French broadcaster BFMTV.

In response to the arrests, Darmanin said: We are still committed to law and the republic in our uncompromising battle against drug trafficking. “

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Bruno Retario praised the “great professionalism” of the investigators that “made it possible to achieve results in a very short time.”

Both ministers promised to do a tougher against drug -related crime.
