London – A UK court ruled on Wednesday that police can seize the equivalent of $3.3 million in frozen financial assets Misogynistic social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan to cover years of unpaid taxes.

Chief Justice Paul Goldspring at Westminster Magistrates’ Court said in his ruling on Wednesday that the transactions carried out by the brothers, including transfers worth nearly $12 million to J, were a “clear fraud” to evade tax authorities.
Lawyers for the Devon and Cornwall Police Force argued that Tate and his brother were serial tax evaders and paid no tax on about $26.5 million in revenue from their online businesses.

According to Agence France-Presse, lawyer Sarah Clarke, who represents the police force, quoted during the proceedings from a video clip published by Tate on the Internet, in which he said: “When I lived in England I refused to pay taxes.”
Tate criticized the ruling and accused the government of “outright theft.”
“This is not justice, this is a coordinated attack on anyone who dares to challenge the regime,” he said in a statement, claiming that the confiscation of his assets raises “serious questions about the lengths to which the authorities will go to silence dissent.”
The Associated Press quoted the men’s lawyer, Martin Evans, as defending the bank transfers in question as “completely conventional” for online business owners.
Tate gained millions of followers online before he was banned by TikTok, Facebook and YouTube when the platforms accused him of spreading misogynistic hate speech.
Tate and his brother are currently under house arrest in Romania, where they are from He faces criminal charges of human trafficking. When this case is concluded, the brothers are scheduled to be extradited to the United Kingdom, where they face additional allegations of human trafficking and rape.
The Tate brothers have denied all charges of sexual violence and human trafficking.
